A custom designed file cabinet with bookshelves above I built for a client some years back. The client wanted to match the style and material of the desk she already had in her office. Each unit is constructed from African Mahogany, with three drawers in the cabinet below, and four bookshelves above. The cabinet sits on four bun feet and is crowned with an “X” shaped curved detail that is capped with four finials. The finish is a four-step process, consisting of distressing, glazing, and staining, and lacquering.
