2008 in Review
This past year has been a wild ride! Even ignoring all that has taken place throughout the nation and the world during the past year, things have been simultaneously exciting and scary around our neck of the woods. Way back in March, Jared Patchin decided to take the plunge and turned J. Alexander Fine Woodworking from a part-time side business to a full-time, full-service woodworking company, specializing in custom furniture and cabinetry.
Faced with the challenge of getting our name out there, we made dozens of sales calls, met a bunch of new and interesting people, built entertainment centers, bookcases, dining tables, home office units, kitchen cabinets, pub tables, a wine rack, and an easel for those new clients, and had an awesome time along the way!
We have also built a website with the help of Unattended Media and gotten some beautiful brochures out there. We’ve been taking advantage of Web 2.0 technology, blogging and Twittering away. J Alexander Fine Woodworking and Jared Patchin have even been in the news here and here.
2009 promises to see the design and creation of even more high-quality custom furniture and cabinetry at J. Alexander, as well as the release of our very own line of furniture, beginning with a limited release at the end of January 2009! We are very excited!
So, from everyone here at J. Alexander Fine Woodworking, we would like to thank all those who have made this past year a success for us, and here’s to making 2009 an even better year!
